Our citizens' police academy hopes to show students what the  life of a police officer not only Martha's Vineyard but in the Town of Tisbury is like. Students will learn about:

• MOTOR VEHICLE LAW

• CRIMINAL LAW

• COURT PROCEDURES

• USE OF FORCE/HANDCUFFING

• BOOKING PROCEDURES

• ADDICTION/MENTAL HEALTH

• REALISTIC SCENARIOS USING A SIMULATOR 

• AND MORE!

This year's academy will run from March 26th until May 28th, with a break for school vacation. It will take place mostly at our station from 6-9pm every Thursday. Watch our thank you video from last year to see what is in store.
