DIVISAO DA PATRULHA O coração e a alma do Departamento de Polícia de Tisbury é a Divisão de Patrulha. A patrulha é a maior e a parte mais visível do departamento, e a parte do departamento com a qual a maioria das pessoas entra em contato. Certos oficiais de patrulha podem realizar tarefas especiais atribuídas a eles especificamente pelo Chief, como ser designado para o papel de Detetive, trabalhando Tisbury Council on aging , CONNECT to end violence, the Youth Task Force, Children’s Cove, the Martha’s Vineyard Drug Task Force and the Tisbury Elementary School. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN ACCIDENT REPORT. PLEASE GO BACK TO "FORMS" AND SELECT "REQUEST FOR INFO" When Must a Crash Report be filed with the Registrar? M.G.L. Chapter 90, Section 26 requires a person who was operating a motor vehicle involved in a crash in which: (i) any person was killed or (ii) injured or (iii) in which there was damage in excess of $1,000 to any one vehicle or other property, to complete and file a Crash Operator Report with the Registrar within five (5) days after such crash (unless the person is physically incapable of doing so due to incapacity). The person completing the report must also send a copy of the report to the police department having jurisdiction on the way where the crash occurred. If the operator is incapacitated but is not the vehicle's owner, the owner is required to file the crash report within the five (5) days based on his/her knowledge and information obtained about the crash. Relief Association da Polícia de Tisbury A Tisbury Relief Association é um fundo dedicado a retribuir à comunidade. A Associação concede bolsas de estudo para idosos graduados, residentes que precisam de ajuda com contas médicas e muitas outras causas que ajudam essa nossa grande comunidade. Bill, his wife and daughter have enjoyed visiting Martha's Vineyard for over 20 years. Recently he and his family moved and became full time residents of the Island. Bill began his career in law enforcement in 2000 with the Dedham Police Department where he worked for 6 years. After buying a home in Franklin MA, he transferred to the Franklin Police Department where he worked as a patrolman for 6 years, then an additional 7 years as Sergeant. Bill and his family enjoy the outdoors, fishing, boating, and are very involved with their daughter’s Equestrian career. Lieutenant Bill Brigham

Chief Chris Habekost Chris was raised on Martha’s Vineyard and has lived here since 1973. Chris previously worked for the Edgartown and West Tisbury Police Departments and started as a Special Police Officer in Tisbury in 1998. Chris was selected as a full-time recruit officer in July of 2003 and subsequently graduated from the Weymouth regional police academy in March of 2004. Chris was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2012 and then interim Chief in July of 2021. Chris lives in Edgartown with his wife Marcela and their three children, one of whom has special needs. Chris is active with his family’s lifestyle and activities and enjoys spending time on home improvement and classic truck restoration.
