Bill, his wife and daughter have enjoyed visiting Martha's Vineyard for over 20 years. Recently he and his family moved and became full time residents of the Island. Bill began his career in law enforcement in 2000 with the Dedham Police Department where he worked for 6 years. After buying a home in Franklin MA, he transferred to the Franklin Police Department where he worked as a patrolman for 6 years, then an additional 7 years as Sergeant. Our department is now equipped with a Prescription Drug drop off box. Bring any of your old, out of date, unknown, or any prescription drug you will no longer use to the station for proper disposal. No questions will be asked.

Just buy something on Craigslist or MV Stuff for Sale, but don't really know the person? Would you feel more comfortable making the exchange somewhere safe? Our Police Station Parking lot can now be utilized to make these types of exchanges. When figuring out a place to meet someone to pick-up or drop-off your goods, just tell them you want to meet at the Tisbury Police Station. You do not need to contact us prior, unless it may be an odd hours exchange, which isn't recommended. We only provide a safe place to exchange items. We will not get involved in any of the transactions. This includes, holding, storing, or exchanging of any property. It doesn't matter in which town you work or live, our station is here for all. When Must a Crash Report be filed with the Registrar? M.G.L. Chapter 90, Section 26 requires a person who was operating a motor vehicle involved in a crash in which: (i) any person was killed or (ii) injured or (iii) in which there was damage in excess of $1,000 to any one vehicle or other property, to complete and file a Crash Operator Report with the Registrar within five (5) days after such crash (unless the person is physically incapable of doing so due to incapacity). The person completing the report must also send a copy of the report to the police department having jurisdiction on the way where the crash occurred. If the operator is incapacitated but is not the vehicle's owner, the owner is required to file the crash report within the five (5) days based on his/her knowledge and information obtained about the crash.
