Bill Brigham

Bill, his wife and daughter have enjoyed visiting Martha's Vineyard for over 20 years. Recently he and his family moved and became full time residents of the Island. Bill began his career in law enforcement in 2000 with the Dedham Police Department where he worked for 6 years. After buying a home in Franklin MA, he transferred to the Franklin Police Department where he worked as a patrolman for 6 years, then an additional 7 years as Sergeant. Bill and his family enjoy the outdoors, fishing, boating, and are very involved with their daughters Equestrian career. 

Jeff Day

Jeff graduated from Unity College in Unity Maine in May, 1994 with a B.S. in Social Science. Jeff is currently enrolled in Faulkner Univesity Master's Program. Jeff graduated from the Agawam Police Academy in 2005. He helps coach a team for MV Little LeagueBaseball. He also volunteers as an instructor for the Hunter Safety Course on Island. 

Max Sherman

Max was born and raised on Martha's Vineyard. He played for 2 State Championship teams while playing for the Martha's Vineyard high school hockey team. He went on to attend and graduate from St. Mark's School in Southborough, MA. He then graduated from Northeastern University in 2008 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. He graduated from the Plymouth Police Academy in 2015. He will also be getting his Master's in Public Administration from Northeastern. Max helps coach the boys high school hockey team, coaches Tee Ball, and volunteers with CONNECT to End Violence.

Charles Duquette

Charles was in the United States Army for 6 years. He most recently worked for the Aquinnah Police Department and Community Services for Island Wide Youth Collaborative as a Case Manager. Charles graduated the Reserve Police Academy at the South Suburban Police Institute in Foxborough, MA. 

Nick Sidoti

Originally from Ojai, California, Nick moved to Marthas Vineyard in 2016. Although new to the Tisbury Police Department, Nick has been involved in Law Enforcement for over 20 years in varying capacities. Nick was also a Sergeant in United States Marine Corps. Nick has two grown children and is a Grandfather of 5. Nick enjoys physical fitness, culinary arts, and spending time with his friends and family. Nick recently graduated from the Plymouth Police Academy where he achieved the role of President of his recruit class.  

John Goeckel

John grew up on the island where he attended MVRHS.  During high school, his start of law enforcement and maritime connections started by working with the Edgartown and Oak Bluffs Harbormasters.  After that, he spent just over 5 years on active duty in the Coast Guard with his last station at USCG Station Menemsha.  After his service, he attended the Reserve officer academy on the island. He spend a few years as a reserve officer and was afforded the opportunity to attend the 8th Municipal Officer Academy at the State Police Academy.

Andrew Silvia

Andrew started his career with TPD as a Traffic Officer at age 18. He attended Westfield State University where he obtained a double Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and Sociology. After graduating college in 2014, Andrew attended the Springfield Full-Time Police Academy in 2015.

Pierce Harrer

Pierce was raised on Martha’s Vineyard where he began his public safety career as an EMT and Sheriffs Deputy. In 2016 Pierce graduated from the Reserve/ Intermittent Police Academy, in 2019 Pierce graduated from the Plymouth Police Academy. Pierce is proud to serve the community he knows and loves.

Mike Cutrer

Mike spent all but two years of his life on the island after moving here from Arizona. He attended Tisbury Elementary and then on to the Martha's Vineyard Regional High School. There he was a captain of the football team while also playing baseball, basketball and track. He then went on to attend Nichols College where he earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Mike joined TPD after spending 4 summers with OBPD and the last 2 years as a Deputy and Sergeant with the Duke's County Sheriff's Office. In his free time he enjoys going to the gym and helping coach the MVRHS Varsity Football team.  

Patrick Souza

Patrick was born and raised in Falmouth and moved to the island in 2016. He graduated from the Martha’s Vineyard Reserve Police Academy in June 2018 and was previously employed by the Aquinnah Police Department. He has completed college level work at Maine Maritime Academy and Cape Cod Community College.

Carla Gomes

Carla was born in Santa Catarina, Brazil. She moved to Martha's Vineyard in 1994 and was the first Brazilian to graduate from Martha's Vineyard Regional High School. Carla graduated from the part-time police academy in 2009 and went on to work for the Edgartown District Court House for 10 years. She has three boys and she loves this community!

Edward St Pierre

Edward grew up in South Natick and Newton before moving to Shrewsbury.  He got into Policing later in life and graduated from the Plymouth Reserve Academy in 2013.  After working for Westborough PD as a reserve Police Officer for 5 years he went to the State Police Municipal Academy and graduated in September of 2018.  Ed worked for the Town of Millville after graduation until being drawn to the Vineyard.  Ed brings his small town upbringing and mature wisdom to the community of Tisbury.
